Nineteen-year-old Ayesha Rashan, residing in Karachi, underwent a major surgery in Chennai, India, to receive a new heart. The successful operation was made possible by the generous organ donation of a 69-year-old individual.

The cost of the surgery was substantial, exceeding INR3.5 million. Fortunately, a charitable organization covered the expenses, providing immense relief to Ayesha who had been awaiting a suitable donor for five years.Expressing her gratitude, Ayesha stated, “I am feeling significantly better now.” Her immediate objective is to complete her education in Karachi, followed by pursuing a career as a fashion designer.

In 2019, Ayesha fell seriously ill and encountered heart complications during her stay in India. Upon diagnosis, doctors recommended a heart transplant. While awaiting a donor, she was equipped with a specialized device to assist her heart in pumping blood until the transplant could be performed.
